Innovation
Given the fast-moving pace of organizations today and the need to transform businesses quickly one can argue it is increasingly important for individuals and organizations to value creativity and innovation. What does innovation look like?
Innovation means novel, original, or to advance. Innovation starts with creativity. Many people, like those who work with you, are creative. Once people and teams are introduced to processes that foster creativity and are empowered to be creative, they regularly dream up ideas that promote innovation.
Creative people are able to take acts, ideas, or products and transform them from existing domains to new ones. An organization that fosters creativity in its staff will develop innovative ideas.
You too can release a flood of innovation by tapping the creative potential of people within your organization. While there are a few steps involved, once you tap the creative potential of people, your organization will not be the same. Many people, through experience, have perceived or learned to not rock the boat and feel that they should keep new ideas to themselves. Once you convince them you value their ideas and teach them to share ideas, you can then teach them to recognize the good ones, build on the good ones, and then implement the good ones. The results will be healthy productive environments and that result in increased profitability.
